Today was my first, full day away from my pay-check job, and I just about finished the painting of Winslow. There were quite a few artists that came in today to drop off work for the new show, and so I didn't paint nearly as much because of it.

The good news is that I'm painting again full-time. Tomorrow I'll spend painting mugs in Corrine's studio, but Wednesday I hope to paint again on canvas.

In the coming weeks I might blog about the pluses and minuses I had working for a pay-check. Right now I'm just so glad to be painting again.

..that I was supposed to add yesterday. I'm just about done with my pay-check job, and so there's been a little more work associated with it this week. We're also hosting the One Year Birthday of TAN at the Eltrym Theater on Thursday, so you can see I'm a little overwhelmed.

By this time next week there should be more paintings in the works. For now I'm off to paint mugs in Corrine's studio.

Memory card....

Opps. I forgot my memory card, and my head today, so I don't have any of the progress on Winslow recorded. I'll get it for tomorrow, I promise.

Instead, I encourage you to look at my wife's website to see the work in progress we've been doing together. I've been painting the mugs and creating the trailer images on them and she's been busy creating the trailer lanterns and the mugs themselves.

Winslow's true, well un-natrually true colors are starting to come out. I spent a couple of hours working on him today for the first time in a week or so. I get to spend the day with him tomorrow as well and might be able to finish.

We will all know tomorrow how much I get done.

I made a little progress on Winslow today, and when I say a little I mean a little. I painted for about 45 minutes only. Some painting is better than zero right?

I won't be back at it until Sunday, but I think I'll have some new work in progress posted on the Dusty Dog Studio website this week. I'll keep you posted.
