The farmers market was a big success for us today, although there were no free watermelons. I go away for two weeks and everything changes. The date for free watermelons is yet to come, because of the cooler weather we've had this year. So stay tuned and I'll let you know when it is.

We came home afterwards, had dinner with fresh arugula from the garden, and then I got to painting. I love the look on the little dog's face. Bettini rarely likes to pose for me, but this pic took her by surprise and so she looked happier than in most photos.

The colors of the dot might make some folks think of the Cubs, because I am from the Chi-town area, but they would be wrong. I've been a Mets fan since I was a kid, I hate the Cubs.
