When I got the photo that this painting is based on, I wasn't sure it would work as a coffee hound. Black dogs are harder to capture when black and coffee are the only colors to choose from, but I think this turned out great.
Sometimes we'll surprise ourselves if we just take a chance on something we think is impossible. Maybe that's why I love the Ironman triathlon so much.
